Open for Business : FIG AND FAUNA

Open for Business

We're happy to announce that our hens are all happily laying - just enough to sell to a handful of customers each week. As I gently place each and every egg in the carton cells, I imagine our customers and their enjoyment of the eggs. I can feel the rewards from every angle of the transaction - the lively hens that greet me daily to the eggs that are incredibly cherished.

Simi ~ if you are ever in the area, a dozen blue eggs have your name on them!

What kinda of chicken do you have that produces that beautiful greenish egg? I am looking at having some of my own backyard chickens in the near future. How many chickens do you have?

Megan ~ The green/blue laying hens are called Araucanas also named "Easter Egg Layers" We ordered our first round from Murray McMurray Hatchery - they are very docile and start laying around 6 months. Ours have been quite broody already and make wonderful mothers! We have 30 hens split in two different coops and each one has a protective rooster, which is great for free ranging! Good luck with your chickens, let me know how it goes!

*Love* it all. Do you stamp your logo on every carton or do you order them that way?
