Guest Post ~ Progressive Pioneer : FIG AND FAUNA

Guest Post ~ Progressive Pioneer

This year, we wandered our fields and gathered an array of colorful plants intended to dye our Easter eggs. Creating the connection of intense hues from our backyard nature - to making a conventional water color, was most exciting to our two year old. We shared our process and recipes with one of my favorite bloggers - Amy, of Progressive Pioneer. Amy always hits the spot when it comes to matters of motherhood and creative ideas for homeschooling young children.

Just in time for Easter, our broody hen hatched out her first chicks and we have another goat birthing due any day. It is certain - Spring is here! We wish everyone a wonderful Easter ~

Just found your blog through longest acres. I live in the suburbs and my dream is to farm, but likely one I shall never realize. I adore farming blogs and when I came across yours, I was so captured by the beauty of your photos. Gorgeous work.

Razmataz ~ So glad you stopped by. Hope you hold on to that dream. It wasn't long ago that we were living in the suburbs dreaming of a farm!

I just found your blog through Oh Joy! Your food and photos are beautiful. We are renters in Deland, FL (closer to Daytona), but always have something growing out back. We dream of having our own homestead in the near future. Your website is a true inspiration. Thank you!

Rose ~ I love the climate in Deland - even a bit of a cooler winter season (which makes for happy cabbage!) If you are ever in the area, please come see us!
